Personal Narrative Writing

We love celebrating our students' writing each year, so 'Publishing Parties' have become a tradition in our classroom.  After completing a writing genre, we revise, edit, and publish our writing pieces to look like real books!  Then, we reflect on our own pieces, give feedback on other classmates pieces, and finally we celebrate.  After reading all of the feedback from the writer and his/her peers, we choose a handful of students to be showcased at our party.  They get the honor of reading their whole piece to their classmates. Then, we enjoy Tootsie Pops and stories to celebrate each other as writers.  Today we celebrated, Yukino, Aaron, Abby, Reeti, Camden, and Malia!
